Best of Show Award:

Board #6 “Play It Again Sam” by Barbara Tyson

In the judges’ opinions, #6 “Play It Again Sam” takes Best of Show for the following reasons:

·      Educational Content – the board shows the history and development of the piano from early days through modern-day use in different entertainment settings such as home parlors, musicals, movies, extravaganzas.

·      Unifying Theme – the board displays cards showing use of pianos in different ways and with famous personalities.

·      Composition – the cards were nicely framed with trim borders. Sheet music provided an interesting and relevant background to the board without distracting from the cards.

·      Captions – the captions were informative with easy to read font and included some personal history that connected the board creator with the subject.

Our congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everyone who entered a board!!
