DISPLAY BOARDS OR SHOWBOARDS
You can work on a show board to display your collecting interest at any time and then you'll be ready to display it at our Club's next Show in March of 2011!

HOW DO YOU CREATE A DISPLAY BOARD/SHOWBOARD?

Select postcards of your choice depicting a particular subject or theme.

Obtain poster board, mat board, or foam core, along with a clear plastic sheet to protect your postcards; there are also a number of framed boards that include a plastic or Plexiglas-type covering that will protect your collection. Approximate size suggested is 22” X 28” or 20” X 32”. It is best to have the board displayed vertically. Use these dimensions as a guideline; variables of these size ranges are acceptable. Poster board, mat board, foam core, plastic sheeting or poster-size display systems can be obtained at most hobby stores or office supply stores.

Mount the postcards on the board using photo corner mounts. These are available in colors that may be used to help accentuate your collection. Postcards may also be framed by mounting them on a contrasting color of poster board or mat board.

Be sure to add a title to the board. You may also add text to the board. And don’t forget to place your name and contact information somewhere on the board, either on the front or the back.

The Club will provide the supports to display your board upright at the show.

Be creative, and have fun!
