CAPITAL  OF TEXAS POSTCARD CLUB MEETING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4th

The Summer break is over for the Capital of Texas Postcard Club so we’re ready to get back together beginning with our upcoming meeting to be held on Tuesday, September 4th, at the South Austin Senior Activity Center, 3911 Manchaca Rd., 78704, 7:00-9:00.

We are fortunate and privileged to have Club member Richard Eisenhour as our presenter at this meeting with the following intriguing topic:

The Texas 1899 Postcard Mystery  - In 1899, the four great Texas cities of San Antonio, Austin, Houston and Fort Worth are linked by one unknown postcard publisher.  In a half-hour talk Richard introduces new research into early Texas tourist postcards, exploring the connections among these major Texas cities and the fascinating cards that share the story.

Looking forward to an update on our Club show dates that we are planning for January or February of 2019.

Refreshments are potluck style so bring what you like and what you can! The Club will provide drinks.

We expect that a number of dealers will be able to bring some boxes of postcards to this meeting to browse through, and you, too, are invited to bring along any postcards that you would like to sell, trade, or show-and-tell.
