The next meeting of the Capital of Texas Postcard Club will be held on Tuesday, November 6th, at the South Austin Senior Activity Center, 3911 Manchaca Rd., 78704, 7:00-9:00.

As many of you may know, this month commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the ending of WW I, so, with that in mind, Club member Ken Wukasch will share his collection of postcards connected to this solemn period in our nation's history:

AMERICA – IN WAR & IN VICTORY –

1918 to 2018

This postcard program presented by Kenneth C. Wukasch commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice, November 1918 that ended America’s involvement in World War I. Topics will include the Peace Movement, war preparation, the draft, YMCA, Red Cross, Liberty Loans, combat in France, propaganda, the home front, victory and refugees.

Ken has a fine collection of these iconic postcards and always brings us a top-notch presentation that you won't want to miss.

Refreshments are potluck style so bring what you like and what you can! The Club will provide drinks.

We expect that a number of dealers will be able to bring some boxes of postcards to this meeting to browse through, and you, too, are invited to bring along any postcards that you would like to sell, trade, or show-and-tell.
